The founders of AQUA Schools believed there was a real need for a specialised facility to teach infants and children critical first skills in the water in our community.
Previously infants and children have learnt in aquatic centres along with squad swimmers, public swimmers and other members of the community. These facilities were often noisy and intimidating for little beginners and developing learners, who need a calm and more personal environment to help them build confidence and those tentative water early skills. Purpose built in a local warehouse, the Sunbury location was the first AQUA Schools site followed closely by the AQUA Schools Keilor Park site. These centres are easily accessible for surrounding suburbs including Diggers Rest, Gisborne, Melton, Taylors Lakes, Tullamarine, Essendon, Niddrie, Airport West, Keilor Downs, St Albans and Avondale Heights.
Children are capable of amazing things when given the right instruction and confidence. Parents who have seen results of infants in swim lessons swear by it, as their progress in their abilities are nothing short of amazing.

AQUA's Innovative Learn to Swim Program
Our swimming program has embraced the recent development in babies learn to swim. Our babies program focuses on building abilities in the water for babies as they grow physically, just as their ability on land increases. It uses best practices from programs across the world, and focuses on the core elements of Conditioning, Buoyancy, Breath Control and Mobility.
The AQUA Schools swimming program is a huge leap forward in teaching babies and children the basic elements of swimming at a young age. This strong curriculum foundation combined with small classes, and private facilities makes AQUA a critical part of many children’s development in the pool.
AQUA Schools run quarterly training programs for our swim teachers to ensure the most up to date advances in the learn to swim industry are integrated with our own ideas so that you child gets the best learn to swim experience every time.
